Mole Valley U12 Girls represented Surrey at the Pokémon Futsal Youth Cup Regional Finals. This was their first experience of any kind of Futsal. We ended up winning two and losing two games. They got to witness some of the best girl’s futsal we think we’ve seen and hopefully play some pretty good stuff ourselves. It was good of Pikachu to pop in! They thoroughly enjoyed the entire event and had smiles on their faces throughout. Thank you to everyone who organised and competed to make it a fantastic day, and good luck to all in the National finals.

Our girls had a brilliant day out at the regional tournament. Girl’s football has grown so much recently, and futsal is definitely following hot on its heels. The standard of futsal was very impressive, and it was a great opportunity for the team to challenge themselves against top players. Many thanks to the FA, Pokemon and all the organisers for putting on such a fun event.

Holmer Green Minors U16

22nd May 2022

Braintree Futsal Club prides itself on producing futsal of the highest quality and that is exactly what the under 16s displayed during the regional finals of the Pokémon Futsal Cup, winning all 3 games, scoring 11 and not conceding a single goal. Braintree provides a linear pathway into the men’s senior team who compete nationally and the under 16 players demonstrated that they have what it takes to play at this level in the upcoming season. The under 16s have taken a professional approach to the victory saying that they are satisfied with their regional performance, however, feel they have what it takes to be crowned national champions. Today they conquered the court, now they want to conquer the country.

We loved every minute of the regional finals. The whole day was exceptionally well organised, from registration right through to the final whistle in the final game. The staff were helpful and approachable, and every team played the game the right way.
The regional finals were a great experience for our girls, but now we want to go one step further and win the nationals. It’s exciting. It’s daunting. We’re looking forward to the National Finals already.
